Hello, my name is Adam Estrada. I am a phlebotomist and a graduate in Health Administration from California State University, Northridge.
My background in the medical field began at the age of 17, as a student worker at the Ventura County Medical Center. Within the first six months, I knew that the healthcare field was my passion and decided to obtain my Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy licenses. Soon after, I worked as a Medical Assistant for a local clinic, and within two years, I was hired at a separate medical clinic as a Phlebotomist; something that came naturally to me.
After six years at that location, I was offered a position as a Laboratory Supervisor at our local hospital in Ventura County, where this profession began for me. Being in an environment of a large-scale hospital helped me see the literal grander scale for myself and my greater purpose. Therefore, I decided to pursue my goal of obtaining a bachelor’s degree to my further my career and allow for me to help those who have the need for medical services; which are difficult to acquire for many.
Though it was a difficult decision for me to leave my position at the hospital, my aspiration for becoming my own boss surpassed my professional situation at the time. Working one on one with patients throughout the years impacted me; I wanted to make a difference in my community. Thus, developing my company, The Lab Guy together with We Care With Love.
Along with ten years of experience as a phlebotomist, and my corporate experience in a demanding medical field, this company will allow me to offer personal, convenient and professional health services for a community that is close to my heart.
